About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Registrar - Family Medicine to provide comprehensive primary healthcare services. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, involves delivering care both physically and through telemedicine to individuals and families across all age groups. The Registrar will focus on preventive, acute, and chronic care, aiming to improve patient outcomes through efficient healthcare delivery and patient-centered approaches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive telehealth and in-person consultations, including thorough patient history and physical examinations for general medicine and family medicine complaints.
  • Provide healthcare to all family medicine target populations, regardless of age or gender.
  • Deliver chronic disease and preventive care consultations and follow-ups in accordance with clinical guidelines.
  • Utilize video conferencing platforms for virtual assessments, develop personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide ongoing patient education.
  • Oversee ongoing care for chronic and acute conditions, adjusting treatment plans based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Practice population health management by identifying and addressing community health issues, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health education.
  • Document findings and treatment plans meticulously in patient records.

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
  • Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, ethical guidelines, and quality assurance standards for both telehealth and in-person practice.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telehealth regulations and best practices, participating in quality improvement initiatives and accurately documenting patient encounters.
  • Participate in research activities and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Regularly review compliance protocols and participate in training sessions, collaborating with compliance officers to meet regulatory standards.

Professional Development and Platform Proficiency

  • Continuously enhance professional knowledge and skills in family medicine, including in-person and telehealth best practices.
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and online courses to stay abreast of advancements in family medicine and telehealth technology.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing designated telehealth platforms, including video conferencing, secure messaging, and electronic health records (EHR) integration.
  • Actively participate in training programs and stay updated on platform enhancements.

Patient Safety and Satisfaction

  • Maintain compliance with all patient safety standards across clinical interactions and report any safety risks to the quality department.
  • Practice safe medicine to prevent patient harm, explaining medication side effects and proper use.
  • Ensure satisfactory patient consultations through effective communication, complete history taking, empathy, clear explanation of diagnosis and management plans, and addressing patient queries.
  • Monitor patient feedback and address concerns promptly, implementing safety protocols to minimize risks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Strong communication skills to share insights and recommendations, supporting patient-centered care approaches.
  • Proficiency in facilitating communication between team members regarding patient status and needs.
