Purpose of the Role

The Reservations Agent plays a crucial role in managing guest bookings and inquiries, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all reservation processes. This position contributes directly to the guest experience by providing clear information and accommodating specific needs, aligning with Delta Hotels' commitment to being warm, wise, and in control for the modern frequent traveler.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs and determine appropriate room types.
• Verify the availability of room types and rates.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests.
• Answer questions regarding property facilities/services and room accommodations.
• Apply sales techniques to maximize revenue.
• Input and access data within the reservation system.
• Indicate special room reservation types (*, complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates, and wholesale reservations) by inputting the correct code and rate into the system.
• Follow proper escalation procedures when addressing guest concerns.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or * equivalent.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
