The Role of Lead Engineer, Maintenance Electrical

Maaden is seeking a Lead Engineer, Maintenance Electrical to join its team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing essential electrical engineering support to operations and maintenance. The role focuses on engineering analysis, troubleshooting, problem identification, and resolution to ensure efficient and uninterrupted site operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Government and Maaden Bauxite & Alumina Company (MBAC) regulations, policies, and procedures regarding Health, Safety, and Environment.
• Engage effectively in daily electrical activities as a member of the area management team (AMT) and participate in daily DMS meetings.
• Oversee daily activities for all electrical systems and equipment, ensuring established maintenance strategies (PM), SMP, JSA, and RA are in place. Identify system deficiencies and support with appropriate short-term and long-term actions.
• Respond to operation and maintenance activities (emergency and normal), assess risks, and ensure all necessary tools, PPE, and manpower are provided.
• Coach and mentor direct reports, identify development and training needs, and facilitate the completion of these needs.
• Provide specialized technical support and guidance to direct reports, operations personnel, and planners.
• Manage spare parts for maintenance activities, review inventories, adjust based on consumption, and link spare parts to correct equipment in Oracle.
• Participate in MOH execution activities and implement MOC/projects achievable through maintenance work orders within the maintenance division.
• Ensure staff compliance with TRP, development, and HR policies, and control allocated budget and overtime.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance management practices, maintenance supervision, and maintenance systems.
• Proficiency with computer applications, particularly Excel at an intermediate to advanced level.
• 10-15 years of experience as an electrical engineer in maintenance, preferably within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or mining sectors.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in Electrical/Instrument Engineering for Plant Maintenance.
• Experience in project execution.
