About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Captain Bellstand to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive guest services, including assistance with luggage, transportation arrangements, and general property information. The Captain Bellstand will also serve as a departmental role model, supporting management in various operational and personnel functions.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests, provide information on property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local attractions.
Assist guests and visitors with entering and leaving the property, including opening doors and loading/unloading luggage from vehicles.
Manage luggage storage and retrieval, and transport guest luggage to and from rooms or designated bell areas.
Provide directions and arrange transportation services (*, taxi, shuttle, limousine), recording advance requests as needed.
Dispatch bell staff or valet staff and communicate parking procedures to guests.
Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with requests and problem resolution.
Serve as a departmental role model, assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
Maintain positive working relationships, adhere to company policies, and report accidents or unsafe conditions.
Ensure a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and acknowledge all guests with genuine appreciation.
Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones appropriately, and comply with quality assurance standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience required: 0-1 years in a related field.
Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
Capable of moving at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, running, walking, jogging).
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
Capable of reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active engagement with guests and involves physical demands typical of a hospitality environment, including prolonged standing and lifting.

Adherence to all company policies and procedures is mandatory, alongside a commitment to anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs, including assisting individuals with disabilities.
