About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Cashier-Food & Beverage Svcs to join the team in Makkah. This is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage & Culinary category, focusing on cash handling and guest service within the hotel environment.

Cashiering and Cash Control Responsibilities

• Process various payment methods in accordance with established accounting procedures and policies.
• Adhere to property control audit standards and cash-handling procedures, including blind drops.
• Obtain and secure the assigned bank, verify money accuracy, and acquire necessary change for expected business levels.
• Count the bank at the end of each shift, complete cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
• Transport the bank safely to and from the assigned workstation.

Workstation and Guest Service Duties

• Set up and organize the cashier workstation, ensuring its cleanliness and that all opening supplies and tools are ready and functional.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address their service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, answer telephones using appropriate etiquette, and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computer systems and/or point-of-sale systems.
• Support team goals and quality standards to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience is required for this position.
• No specific license or certification is specified as a requirement.

Working Conditions and Professional Standards

• The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Candidates must be able to move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Adherence to company, safety, and security policies is mandatory, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, protect confidential information, and safeguard company assets.
• Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors.
