About Lucid Motors-LA

Lucid Motors-LA develops advanced electric vehicles, including the Lucid Air and Lucid Gravity, leveraging proprietary technology and software-defined architecture. The company operates with deep vertical integration, managing design, engineering, and production in-house across global facilities. Lucid Motors-LA is committed to innovation in the automotive market, aiming to redefine mobility experiences.

The Role of Finance SAP Implementation Manager

Lucid Motors-LA is seeking a Finance SAP Implementation Manager to lead the end-to-end implementation of SAP S/4HANA across all finance workstreams for a new Electric Vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in King Abdullah Economic City, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time leadership position requires deep SAP Finance expertise and manufacturing industry knowledge to ensure SAP is configured for a high-volume, high-velocity transaction environment from the start of production. The role involves critical cross-functional alignment in a complex, pre-production build setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance modules: FI, CO, COPA, Asset Accounting (AA), and integration with MM, PP, SD, and TM.
  • Develop and maintain the integrated program plan covering design, build, test, cutover, and hypercare phases.
  • Lead Finance Steering Committee reporting cadence and escalation framework, managing budget, scope, and resource plans.
  • Drive the design and configuration of Product Cost Planning (CK40N / CK11N), Cost Object Controlling for repetitive and discrete manufacturing, and standard cost rollups.
  • Establish the Chart of Accounts, Profit Center, and Cost Center hierarchies for granular plant reporting.
  • Design the Material Ledger / Actual Costing approach for inventory valuation in high-volume, multi-plant scenarios.
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement to design financial flows for PO-to-GR-to-Invoice cycles, including ERS.
  • Define the treatment of freight, duties, and logistics costs in the cost of goods and ensure integration between Transportation Management (TM) and FI/CO.
  • Architect the system to process repetitive, high-frequency transactions without performance degradation.
  • Design automated controls and exception management workflows for COGI, GR/IR clearing, and open item aging.
  • Serve as the primary Finance voice in cross-functional design workshops with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and IT.
  • Lead Finance end-user training strategy and execution, including super-user network and go-live readiness assessment.
  • Own Finance workstream deliverables across UAT, performance testing, and integration testing phases.
  • Develop and execute the Finance data migration strategy for open items, asset balances, and beginning inventory values.
  • Lead cutover planning for finance, including blackout period definition and fallback procedures, and manage hypercare support for a minimum of 90 days post go-live.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 3 full-cycle SAP Finance implementations as lead or program manager.
  • Expertise: Deep hands-on expertise in SAP FI/CO, Product Costing, Material Ledger, and COPA.
  • Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in manufacturing environments; automotive, industrial, or EV/battery manufacturing is strongly preferred.
  • Technical Environment: Experience with high-volume transaction environments, including repetitive manufacturing, JIT supply chains, or assembly-line operations.
  • Program Management: Strong program management skills (PMP or equivalent), with the ability to manage a 20+ person, multi-workstream team.
  • SAP Systems: Experience with SAP S/4HANA (on-premise or RISE); migration from ECC to S/4HANA is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP Transportation Management (TM) and Logistics Invoice Verification (LIV).
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and agile delivery in an ERP context.
  • Understanding of EV-specific cost structures, such as battery raw material costs and software-embedded content.
  • CPA, CMA, or equivalent finance designation.
  • Experience working in a greenfield / pre-production plant startup environment.

Work Environment and Compensation

This role requires frequent on-site presence at the plant location, particularly during design workshops, user acceptance testing, cutover, and hypercare phases. Travel of up to 50–70% may be required during peak program milestones. Flexibility to support critical go-live windows, including weekends and extended hours, is expected. Compensation for this position includes an equity program and a discretionary annual cash incentive program.
