About the Opportunity

Jumeirah is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position within the Jumeirah Jabal Omar property.

Role Overview

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for performing all daily laundry operations, ensuring garments are handled correctly and equipment is maintained. This role involves a range of tasks from washing and drying to dry cleaning and delivery, adhering to established procedures for garment care and machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all laundry activities, including washing, drying, pressing, folding, stacking, dry cleaning, finishing, billing, pick-up, and delivery of laundry.
• Load and unload washing machines, dryers, and dry-cleaning machines according to their specified capacity.
• Categorize garments to ensure the application of appropriate chemicals and formulas during the laundry process, protecting them from damage, shrinkage, and color loss.
• Verify that all garments are handled in accordance with the manufacturer’s care labels.
• Maintain assigned equipment in a clean and good working condition to maximize its lifespan.
• Record daily pick-ups, deliveries, and loads produced.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ability to follow hygiene, safety, and chemical handling procedures.
• Basic knowledge of laundry operations and fabric handling.
• Proficiency in English or the preferred local language (written and verbal).
