About the Quality Control Officer Role
Tamer Group is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring that all inbound and outbound shipments comply with established quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role primarily focuses on the meticulous monitoring of temperature-controlled shipments, maintaining precise quality records, and actively supporting overall warehouse quality operations.
Role Purpose and Compliance Focus
The Quality Control Officer plays a vital part in upholding the integrity of our supply chain by ensuring strict adherence to Good Distribution Practices (GDP). This involves a proactive approach to identifying and addressing quality deviations, thereby safeguarding product quality and regulatory compliance across all distribution activities within Tamer Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming shipments thoroughly against approved receiving checklists to ensure full compliance with quality standards.
- Collect, download, and manage temperature data loggers for inbound shipments, communicating results effectively with suppliers.
- Monitor and promptly report any temperature excursions, shipment damage, or quality deviations to the Quality Assurance team.
- Ensure that rejected or hold shipments are accurately reserved in the system and quarantined as required by SFDA or vendors.
- Update shipment statuses in tracking systems to facilitate efficient product release activities.
- Maintain precise temperature and quality records for both inbound and outbound shipments.
- Conduct temperature validation for warehouses and vehicles in accordance with the annual validation plan.
- Monitor warehouse temperature conditions, review monthly readings, and initiate corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Support and ensure compliance with established quality standards, GDP requirements, and internal quality procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Quality Control or warehouse operations role.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations, quality standards, and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
- Prior experience handling temperature-controlled products is considered an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records and consistently follow established quality procedures.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, contributing to the operational excellence of Tamer Group.
