The Role of Senior Commercial Manager

Parsons is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves managing all contract activity for projects of significant size and representing the company in negotiations concerning complex contractual issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all commercial and contract management activities across the project.
• Develop and implement commercial and contract management strategies to achieve project objectives, ensure timely output deliverables, and maximize value.
• Review Contractor's and Client's Change requests, and develop and manage all relevant change management documentation up to finalizing Engineer's Instructions (EIs) and Variation Orders (VOs).
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, including managing claims, variations, and disputes.
• Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead the development and management of project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
• Monitor project costs and implement robust cost control measures to prevent overruns.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, forecasts, and cost analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the procurement team and ensure activities align with project requirements and organizational policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop contingency plans to address potential financial and contractual challenges.
• Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to ensure alignment on commercial matters.
• Represent the project in commercial discussions and negotiations with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare and present comprehensive commercial reports to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess between 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in commercial and contract management roles.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Mecca, Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
