Civil Surveyor

About the Role

ABIS is seeking a Civil Surveyor to perform land and construction surveys. This full-time role involves establishing and verifying site levels, alignments, and dimensions to support accurate setting-out and progress verification for civil and construction works.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform site surveys for the setting-out of civil works, including excavation, foundations, structures, pipelines, and roads.
• Establish and maintain survey control points, benchmarks, and reference grids.
• Verify as-built dimensions, levels, and alignments against approved drawings.
• Operate survey equipment such as total stations, GPS/GNSS, and levels, and maintain calibration records.
• Prepare survey reports, as-built drawings, and quantity survey data as required.
• Support Quality Control (QC) with dimensional verification for civil, structural, and piping works.
• Coordinate with construction supervision regarding setting-out requirements and schedules.
• Maintain comprehensive survey records, field books, and data files.
• Support topographic and boundary surveys as needed.
• Identify and report survey discrepancies to the Superintendent or Engineering team.
• Support progress measurement through survey-based quantity verification.

Performance Evaluation

Performance in this role will be evaluated based on several key indicators, ensuring high standards of accuracy and efficiency in all survey operations.

• Accuracy of setting-out and survey data.
• Timeliness of survey support provided to construction activities.
• Quality and completeness of survey records and as-built data.
• Responsiveness to survey requests from site teams.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Civil Surveyor position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in civil and construction surveying.
