About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Drilling Foreman to join the Unconventional Resources Drilling Operations Division (URDOD) within the Unconventional Resources Drilling Department (URDD). This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves direct field responsibility for drilling or working over wells across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its territorial waters.

Role Context

The URDOD is responsible for executing well drilling and workover programs as specified. These operations may involve exploratory or development wells, primarily focused on the search for or development of hydrocarbon deposits, including oil and gas. The Drilling Foreman will direct these operations, ensuring adherence to established programs and industry practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise work on wells exceeding 15,000 feet in depth or those complicated by pressures above 10,000 psi, sour gas, high deviation, or costs exceeding $10,000,000.
• Maintain fiscal accountability for Saudi Aramco-owned equipment and materials.
• Ensure timely communication with Drilling Operations headquarters and coordinate logistics for transportation, materials movement, well services (Saudi Aramco and contractor supplied), water support, and roads/location support.
• Perform unit-level supervisory functions at remote well locations on a 24-hour basis, following a 28-days on, 28-days off work schedule.
• Direct all well operations efficiently, safely, and in accordance with accepted industry practices and the well Drilling or Workover program issued by the Drilling Engineering Department.
• Coordinate the timely ordering of necessary well materials, equipment, and services as per the well program. Document the receipt, usage, and transfer of Saudi Aramco supplied materials and equipment. Review service company field tickets for accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Blowout Prevention Standards, including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response. Assure rig and personnel adherence to Saudi Aramco safety standards and procedures.
• For rigs contracted to Saudi Aramco, ensure compliance with contract terms, conditions, and specified equipment/personnel.
• Provide headquarters with a complete daily report of work progress as required in the Daily Morning Report.
• Promote cost-saving ideas and awareness to optimize operations while safely meeting well objectives.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in drilling operations, particularly in supervising complex well projects.

Work Environment

This position involves working at well locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its territorial waters. The role operates on a rotational schedule of 28 days on duty followed by 28 days off work, requiring a commitment to remote field operations.
