About the Role: ECHO Technician

Dallah Healthcare is seeking a dedicated ECHO Technician to join its team. This full-time role is essential for providing high-standard patient care and producing diagnostic images of heart muscle and function. The position requires a professional committed to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Role Overview

The ECHO Technician is responsible for managing patients and performing echocardiographic examinations to the highest attainable standard of care within Dallah Hospital's resources. This involves the precise setup of specialized equipment and the execution of all related responsibilities to capture accurate cardiac images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare for examinations by checking equipment, managing inventory and restocking supplies, reviewing patient schedules, and setting up recording equipment based on physician orders.
• Prepare patients for procedures by positioning them correctly, applying gel and electrodes, adjusting equipment controls, and verifying wave signals.
• Obtain quality images by accurately positioning and repositioning the transducer, monitoring the display screen, listening to the signal, and adjusting equipment for optimal beam strength and focus.
• Record examination information by printing graphics and data, calculating measurements of heart wall, chamber size, and blood flow direction and velocity, and comparing these measurements to established norms.

Patient Care and Professional Standards

• Reduce patient anxieties by clearly explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing necessary assistance to the examination table or treadmill.
• Protect patients by strictly adhering to all safety policies and protocols during examinations.
• Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping all information confidential and cautioning others regarding potential breaches.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience as an ECHO Technician.
• Proficiency in setting up and operating echocardiography equipment and performing related diagnostic procedures.
