The Role of Civil Engineer

El Seif Engineering Contracting Company is seeking a Civil Engineer to manage aspects of construction projects. This full-time role involves providing technical advice, supervising site operations, and ensuring project tasks are completed efficiently and within budget. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage specific parts of construction projects, offering technical guidance and overseeing work crews and subcontractors to ensure timely and budget-compliant task completion.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all temporary works activities on the project site, ensuring alignment with construction schedules and project requirements.
• Coordinate the design, review, and approval of temporary works, including formwork, falsework, scaffolding, shoring, and excavation support systems.
• Ensure structural integrity and safety compliance by verifying approved designs, risk assessments, method statements, and inspection requirements before execution.
• Liaise with project managers, engineering teams, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure timely implementation of temporary works.
• Monitor site execution, conduct inspections, and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, HSE standards, and applicable regulations.
• Support the development of KSA national employees across the team to achieve corporate objectives and Saudization targets.
• Supervise day-to-day team responsibilities in accordance with project plans and approved budgets.
• Optimize equipment operations at the site and manage effective operating procedures.
• Check and confirm the accuracy of technical designs and drawings.
• Supervise site workers' quality of work and productivity.
• Provide technical advice and solve problems on site.
• Prepare site reports and accurately complete relevant site forms.
• Liaise with quantity surveyors to order and negotiate material prices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to manage construction project components and supervise site activities.
• Proficiency in planning and overseeing temporary works.
• Strong understanding of structural integrity, safety compliance, and relevant regulations.
• Experience in coordinating with various project stakeholders, including engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to monitor site execution, conduct inspections, and maintain thorough documentation.
