Role Summary

The Kids Club Attendant is responsible for facilitating recreation activities and ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests, particularly children, within the recreation facilities. This full-time role involves upholding The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards" in service delivery and guest interaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary resource for all recreation activities on the property.
• Provide guests with information regarding available recreation facilities, including pools, beach, entertainment zones, fitness centers, and child activity centers.
• Encourage, register, and schedule guests for participation in recreation activities.
• Promote a positive and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Enforce recreation facility rules and regulations to ensure guest safety and welfare.
• Monitor activity within recreational facilities and respond to emergencies in accordance with operating procedures.
• Process point-of-sale transactions and provide cashier services where applicable.
• Assist with group activities and events during private functions held within recreation facilities.
• Identify and report situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide immediate assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete required safety training and certifications.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, including answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Foster positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Process payments for rental equipment, activities, facility rentals, or retail sales.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds independently, and objects over 25 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to navigate narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capacity to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and ascend/descend stairs and ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this role.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Proficiency in using computers and/or point-of-sale systems to enter and locate work-related information.
