About the Role

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on developing, monitoring, and reporting on project schedules and controls for EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and update detailed EPC project schedules using Primavera P6.
Prepare and manage baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
Monitor project progress against approved schedules and highlight deviations.
Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
Forecast project completion dates and support project management in schedule decision-making.
Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client submissions.
Develop project dashboards, progress measurement systems, S-curves, and resource histograms.
Track productivity, resource utilization, and key project performance indicators (KPIs).
Maintain project planning records and reporting documentation.

Procurement and Commercial Support

Monitor material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and site delivery milestones.
Forecast material requirements and coordinate manufacturing clearances in line with project schedules.
Track vendor and subcontractor deliverables against contractual milestones.
Support timely mobilization of suppliers and subcontractors.
Prepare cost summaries and mobilization estimates based on received quotations.
Develop techno-commercial reports to monitor project financial performance and overall project health.
Assist in cash flow forecasting, cost-to-complete monitoring, and project performance analysis.
Support change management, delay analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations when required.

Required Experience and Skills

Experience: 0-1 years.
Proficiency in planning and scheduling.
Ability to perform progress monitoring and reporting.
Skills in procurement and manufacturing coordination.
Competence in project controls and commercial support.
Strong stakeholder coordination abilities.
