About the Role

ABIS is seeking a Project Engineer to support project execution. This full-time role involves managing technical documentation, coordinating engineering deliverables, and resolving technical queries to ensure construction activities align with design and specifications.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer plays a crucial part in the successful delivery of projects by acting as a key technical liaison. The role ensures that all technical aspects of a project are handled efficiently, from initial design review through to final documentation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Review and manage engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Coordinate technical queries (TQs) between the site, engineering teams, and the client.
Track and control document submittals and approvals, including transmittals and Master Document Registers (MDRs).
Support material take-offs and provide technical input for procurement processes.
Assist in constructability reviews and the resolution of design and field conflicts.
Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) to ensure the technical compliance of installed works.
Support the preparation of method statements and inspection/test plans.
Liaise with engineering, planning, and construction teams on technical matters.
Track technical punch-list items through to closure.
Support as-built drawing preparation and final documentation handover.
Assist the Project Manager with technical reporting and presentations.
Provide technical support during commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project or technical engineering role.
Demonstrated experience on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) or industrial construction projects.
