Senior Architect

About the Role

Urbacon Saudi Company is seeking a Senior Architect to join their team. This full-time role involves ensuring that all architectural requirements for projects are properly coordinated and met, aligning with design intent, quality standards, and programming requirements. The position requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for complex projects, ensuring innovative and functional solutions that meet client needs and comply with regulations.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Mentor and guide junior architects and design team members, providing technical expertise and fostering professional development.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback.
• Ensure the technical accuracy and feasibility of designs, coordinating with engineering teams to address structural and technical challenges.
• Maintain high standards of design quality by reviewing and approving architectural plans and drawings for compliance and accuracy.
• Ensure all designs and projects adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants, to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
• Prepare and oversee detailed architectural documentation, including drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, integrating relevant advancements into the design process.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Experience and Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and regulations to lead the design process and ensure compliance with standards.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp for conceptualization, drafting, and 3D modeling.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design concepts effectively to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Leadership abilities to oversee and mentor junior architects, coordinate with consultants, and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Creativity and innovation to develop design solutions that address client needs, enhance functionality, and contribute to aesthetic appeal.
• ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
