Spa Therapist

About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Spa Therapist to provide massage and body treatments to guests. This full-time position involves assessing guest needs, ensuring comfort and safety during services, and maintaining a professional and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments using appropriate products and techniques.
• Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications such as allergies, high blood pressure, or pregnancy before commencing services.
• Stay updated on current techniques and modalities relevant to spa therapy.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms and arrange workstations, treatment rooms, and drapes.
• Ensure guest comfort, safety, and security throughout the service.
• Promote and sell spa/salon services, including retail offerings.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools, and ensure the cleanliness of the workstation and treatment room.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift.
• Adhere to the daily time schedule and manage inappropriate guest behavior according to company procedures, including stopping a service and informing a supervisor.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, and express genuine appreciation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• License/Certification: A State or Regional Massage License is required.
• Skills: Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance; fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
