About International Maritime Industries

International Maritime Industries is seeking a Specialist, Contracting to join their team. This full-time role involves managing the complete lifecycle of service contracting activities to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.

Role Purpose

The Specialist, Contracting is responsible for overseeing all service contracting activities from initiation to execution. This includes reviewing purchase requisitions, issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), coordinating with internal stakeholders and suppliers, and leading bid evaluations. The primary objective is to secure high-quality, competitively priced service contracts in a timely manner, adhering strictly to IMI's procurement and contracting procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with the organization’s code of ethics, procurement policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Apply advanced conceptual knowledge of contracting principles to enhance functional capabilities and procurement outcomes.
Communicate complex contracting information clearly to stakeholders to facilitate understanding and decision-making.
Provide informal guidance to new team members on procurement standards.
Analyze and resolve routine contracting issues using technical experience, judgment, and established precedents.
Lead and coordinate the comprehensive development of service contracts.
Evaluate, negotiate, and finalize a variety of contracts, ensuring alignment with commercial, technical, and legal requirements.
Recommend enhancements to contracting processes and procedures to improve efficiency, compliance, and performance.
Monitor and ensure adherence to procurement-related Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), proactively addressing gaps or risks.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation and correspondence for all contracting activities throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 3-9 years of relevant experience in contracting or procurement roles. The role requires a strong understanding of contracting principles and the ability to apply them effectively.
