Attendant Housekeeping

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking an Attendant-Housekeeping to join their team. This full-time role involves maintaining guest rooms and public areas to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The position requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
• Fill carts with supplies and transport them to assigned areas.
• Enter guest rooms following established procedures, ensuring vacancy before entry.
• Replace guest amenities and supplies in rooms.
• Replace dirty linens and terry with clean items; make beds and fold terry.
• Clean bathrooms, remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items.
• Verify that all appliances are present and in working order within the room.
• Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Safety and Security Compliance

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Properly store flammable materials according to guidelines.

Guest Service and Teamwork

• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
• Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
• Support the team to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and in excess of 25 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
