Breast Feeding Educator

About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Breast Feeding Educator to deliver quality orientation, training, and educational activities to patients. This full-time role focuses on providing basic breastfeeding information and encouragement to pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, ensuring they receive comprehensive support.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in establishing standards for breastfeeding training programs in alignment with overall organizational direction.
• Identify patient learning needs related to breastfeeding and contribute to setting plans and objectives to address these needs.
• Design, develop, and implement instructional and reference materials concerning breastfeeding.
• Organize and participate in seminars, workshops, and activities aimed at enhancing professional development.
• Visit new mothers regularly to provide counseling, breastfeeding information, training, and support, including educating them on benefits, overcoming common barriers, and initiating breastfeeding effectively.
• Assist mothers in preventing and managing common breastfeeding concerns.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all participant information.
• Attend and assist with prenatal classes and breastfeeding support groups.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
• Preferably a background in Nursing or Nursing Education.
• A minimum of 3 years of working experience in the same specialty is required.
• Valid registration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the Saudi Council.

This role involves working directly with patients in a healthcare setting, providing essential education and support to new and expectant mothers. The position requires a compassionate and respectful approach to patient care, aligning with HMG's person-centered care initiatives.
