Business Process Senior Specialist

About the Role

Walaa Cooperative Insurance Co. is seeking a Business Process Senior Specialist to join their team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on enhancing operational excellence through process analysis, design, and improvement initiatives. The specialist will work to optimize business processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze end-to-end business processes to identify inefficiencies, control gaps, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Lead process discovery and documentation sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Design and document optimized As-Is and To-Be processes in accordance with established BPM standards and methodologies, utilizing BPMN standards and platforms like ARIS.
• Identify, assess, and recommend process improvement opportunities based on business impact, efficiency, customer experience, risk, and operational performance, applying methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Perform initial business assessment of process and system Change Requests, coordinating with business, IT, and other stakeholders for feasibility and implementation.
• Facilitate workshops and process review sessions with business owners and cross-functional stakeholders, communicating process changes and recommendations.
• Support the establishment and implementation of BPM governance standards, defining and monitoring relevant process KPIs, SLAs, and performance measures.
• Identify processes suitable for automation, digitalization, and system enhancement, collaborating with IT and technology teams to translate requirements.
• Ensure business processes incorporate applicable regulatory, compliance, risk, and internal control requirements, identifying and mitigating process-related operational risks.
• Promote BPM methodologies and continuous improvement practices, providing guidance to business users and staying updated on industry trends.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in business process analysis, design, and improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.
• Proficiency in process modeling using BPMN standards and platforms like ARIS or equivalent BPM tools.
• Experience in evaluating change requests and assessing their impact on existing processes and systems.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process inefficiencies and root causes.
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills for stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer.
• Proficiency in process documentation, governance, and performance management.
• Understanding of technology, automation, and digital enablement in the context of business processes.
• Knowledge of compliance, risk management, and internal control requirements.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, contributing to the operational excellence initiatives within Walaa Cooperative Insurance Co.
