Communication Systems Technical Specialist

About the Role

SANS is seeking a Communication Systems Technical Specialist to join its team. This full-time role involves performing essential maintenance and operational activities to ensure the smooth functioning of communication components and systems. The specialist will work within established KPIs, agreed budgets, and adopted policies and procedures to resolve issues and problems effectively.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to execute necessary maintenance and operational tasks. This includes identifying and resolving issues and problems that affect communication components or systems, ensuring all activities are conducted in alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs), budgetary constraints, and organizational policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance activities on communication systems and their components.
• Execute operational tasks to ensure continuous and efficient system performance.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues and problems related to communication infrastructure.
• Adhere to defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all maintenance and operational tasks.
• Manage activities within allocated budgets and financial guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with all adopted policies and procedures during task execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is typically required.
• Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in communication systems maintenance or operations.
• Demonstrated understanding of communication system components and their functionalities.
