About the Role

Saudi Aramco | أرامكو السعودية is seeking a Downstream Data Scientist Specialist to join the Downstream Transformation & Business Excellence Department (DST&BED). This full-time role focuses on designing, developing, and operationalizing advanced machine learning models to support downstream optimization, predictive maintenance, and performance enhancement. The successful candidate will work with complex datasets and apply advanced statistical and AI techniques to deliver measurable value across operational areas.

Department Overview

The Downstream Transformation & Business Excellence Department (DST&BED) supports Downstream Admin Areas by providing advanced analytics, digital tools, and data-driven insights. The department's objective is to improve reliability, optimize operations, accelerate decision-making, and enable strategic digital transformation. DST&BED is responsible for designing advanced analytical models, developing scalable digital solutions, and supporting enterprise-level digital programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop machine learning, statistical, and predictive models for downstream operational use cases.
• Assess data quality, perform data cleansing, and prepare datasets for model development.
• Explore advanced analytical techniques such as deep learning, time-series modeling, anomaly detection, and optimization algorithms.
• Validate, test, and refine models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and stability.
• Prepare technical documentation and present analytical results to stakeholders.
• Support the integration of models into digital platforms and operational systems.
• Evaluate emerging data science methods and recommend approaches that improve model performance.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and solution architects to translate operational challenges into data-driven solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in data science and analytics, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience. The position requires expertise in developing and deploying advanced analytical models within an operational context.
