Engineering Coordinator (Saudi Only)

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking an Engineering Coordinator (Saudi Only) to join its team. This full-time role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the proper functioning of hotel equipment and systems. The position requires 0-1 years of experience in a related field.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and address guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines for proper function.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and cleanup of repair areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing, and electrical components.
• Program TVs and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Utilize the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work.
• Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external sprinklers.
• Follow all company safety and security policies, report maintenance problems or hazards, and complete safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and adhere to quality standards.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and communicate professionally.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and heavier objects with assistance.
• Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders, and perform tasks requiring reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 0-1 years of experience.
• License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License.
• Skills: Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.
• Knowledge: Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy conservation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting. Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
