Role Summary

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of tools, appliances, and equipment within the property. This full-time role involves performing preventative maintenance, conducting inspections, and responding to guest repair requests, ensuring adherence to The Ritz-Carlton's service and safety standards. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters.
• Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines regularly.
• Utilize computers for work-related information entry and retrieval.
• Operate power lifts.
• Complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems.
• Assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Communicate professionally and clearly.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.

Additional Duties

The Engineering Supervisor will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.
