Job Summary

RISE Enterprise is seeking a dedicated Food Runner / Assistant Waiter to join its fine dining restaurant team. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in a hospitality setting, offering an opportunity to contribute to a high-standard dining experience.

Role Purpose

The Food Runner / Assistant Waiter supports the seamless and efficient flow of service by transporting food and beverage orders between the kitchen, bar, and guest tables. Working under the direct supervision of the Restaurant Supervisor, this role is integral to assisting the waiting team in delivering an attentive and elevated dining experience consistent with the restaurant's high-end service standards.

Key Responsibilities

Collect food and beverage orders promptly from the kitchen and bar, verifying accuracy and presentation before delivery to the correct guest table.
Assist waiters and the Restaurant Supervisor with table setup, clearing, and resetting between courses and covers to maintain smooth service flow.
Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar staff to track order status and ensure timely delivery of dishes and drinks, particularly during peak service periods.
Support the service team by replenishing table essentials throughout the guest's dining experience.
Maintain full knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation, to assist waiters in delivering dishes to the correct guest and table.
Assist in clearing and resetting tables promptly after guests depart, ensuring dining areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and grooming standards, and report any service issues or guest concerns to the Restaurant Supervisor.
Perform related operational tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience (0-1 years) as a food runner, busser, or assistant waiter, preferably within a high-end restaurant or hotel environment.

This role requires good physical stamina and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, typical of a fine dining establishment. The successful candidate will be part of a team committed to delivering exceptional service standards.
