HVAC Technician

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking an HVAC Technician to join their team. This full-time role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, ensuring optimal property temperature and efficient energy usage. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature, and analyze energy and utilities usage.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and other equipment.
• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending improvements for efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees.
• Capability to move in confined or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or a ladder.
• Capacity to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Assistance may be required for moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in HVAC and refrigeration maintenance. They should be a team player, committed to delivering a meaningful guest experience, and capable of maintaining a professional appearance and confidentiality of proprietary information. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and colleagues.
