RSSE manages and operates a diverse portfolio of sports, adventure, and leisure offerings, including water sports through Galaxea, adventure activities via Akun, and leisure experiences delivered by WAMA.

Role Summary

The Water Sport Instructor is a full-time, site-based role responsible for the safe and professional delivery of water sports activities. This position involves providing high-quality instruction, guidance, and supervision to guests across various water-based activities, while upholding safety standards and operational discipline. The instructor contributes to delivering memorable guest experiences within a luxury marine tourism environment and supports daily operations and equipment readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver water sports activities and instruction professionally and safely.
• Provide clear briefings and demonstrations to guests before all activities.
• Supervise guests during water-based activities to ensure safety and enjoyment.
• Support the Water Sports / Dive Center Manager with daily operational requirements.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold luxury hospitality standards.
• Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and general operational readiness.
• Conduct water sports sessions including kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and wake activities.
• Ensure guests are properly fitted with equipment and briefed on safety procedures.
• Monitor environmental and weather conditions for safe activity delivery.
• Inspect and maintain all water sports equipment for safety and functionality.
• Report any equipment damage or safety concerns immediately.
• Provide exceptional guest service to ensure a high-quality experience.
• Assist in organizing daily activity schedules and guest allocations.
• Support inventory tracking and basic equipment maintenance records.

Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

• Ensure safety is the highest priority in all water sports activities.
• Enforce compliance with all safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency procedures.
• Conduct regular equipment checks to ensure all gear is safe for use.
• Promote environmental awareness and responsible use of marine environments.
• Adhere to company and regulatory safety standards at all times.

Policies, Procedures & Reporting

• Follow all company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and equipment usage as required.
• Report operational issues, guest concerns, or safety risks promptly to management.

Work Environment

This role operates within a luxury marine tourism and water sports environment. It requires flexibility to work outdoors, including weekends and during peak seasons. The position involves direct guest interaction and hands-on activity delivery, with exposure to varying marine and weather conditions. The Water Sport Instructor plays a key role in delivering safe, enjoyable, and memorable guest experiences.
