IT Network Security Officer

About the Role

Zamil Offshore Services Company is seeking an IT Network Security Officer to join their team in the Eastern region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for maintaining robust network security controls and ensuring the resilience and availability of essential network services, supporting the organization's cybersecurity and business continuity objectives.

Role Purpose

The IT Network Security Officer is responsible for upholding the organization's cybersecurity posture by managing network-related security incidents and implementing comprehensive security measures. The role ensures that critical network infrastructure remains secure, available, and compliant with established standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, administer, and monitor network security controls in compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, wireless security, DNS, DHCP, and remote access solutions, adhering to ISO 27001 and NCA guidelines.
• Maintain secure network segmentation, access controls, routing policies, and traffic filtering mechanisms.
• Monitor and respond to network security incidents, conduct investigations, and coordinate remediation activities with relevant IT teams.
• Ensure continuous network visibility through effective log management, SIEM integration, and security monitoring.
• Conduct security reviews, configuration audits, firewall rule assessments, and vulnerability remediation efforts.
• Support secure connectivity for third parties, cloud environments, VPNs, and disaster recovery infrastructure.
• Participate in change management processes by assessing the security impacts of network modifications and deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive network security documentation, incident records, and audit evidence.
• Collaborate with IT Governance and compliance teams to ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in IT network security. The role requires a strong understanding of network security principles and practical experience with the technologies and responsibilities outlined above.
