Lead Financial Reporting & Performance Analyst

About the Role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Lead Financial Reporting & Performance Analyst to join the Downstream Finance, Planning & Performance Management Department (DSP&PMD). This full-time role requires strong accounting fundamentals, deep expertise in SAP and financial systems, and the ability to translate financial data into actionable performance insights. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity and relevance of Downstream financial reporting while proactively anticipating the impact of business, operational, and market changes on financial statements and value-based metrics.

Department Overview

The Downstream Finance, Planning & Performance Management Department (DSP&PMD) is responsible for Downstream planning, performance reporting, and business accountability. The department converts financial, operational, and market intelligence data into action-oriented insights, partnering with the business to influence decisions, identify performance opportunities, and drive timely corrective actions. DSP&PMD continuously works to improve planning and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS and internal governance standards.
• Serve as an expert in SAP and other financial systems, resolving complex reporting and system issues.
• Drive system integration and transformation initiatives to enhance financial processes and organizational performance.
• Analyze financial KPIs (P&L, ROACE, capital efficiency) and assess the financial impact of strategic decisions.
• Deliver executive-level performance insights and accountability reporting.
• Lead end-to-end finance process optimization, system integration, and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and insight in financial operations.
• Champion automation, standardization, and control improvements, fostering cross-functional collaboration and maintaining robust governance and audit readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized and approved program. Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, and performance analysis, ideally within the oil & gas or other capital-intensive industries.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of SAP and financial accounting systems.
• Deep understanding of financial statements and value-based performance metrics.
• Proven ability to anticipate business impacts rather than solely reporting historical outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in driving process improvements and enhancing operational methodologies.
