About FieldCore and GE Vernova

FieldCore, a GE Vernova company, is seeking a Lead Steam Mechanical Field Engineer for a full-time position in Saudi Arabia. FieldCore is part of GE Vernova's Gas Power One Field Services team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and upgrading power generation equipment. GE Vernova is a global energy company focused on power, wind, and electrification businesses, committed to leading the energy transition by electrifying and decarbonizing the world.

Role Overview

The Lead Steam Mechanical Field Engineer will manage site activities, including planning, organizing, integrating, and monitoring resources such as labor, tools, and technical assistants. This role ensures work scope completion aligns with contractual requirements at customer power generating facilities. The engineer will operate within defined parameters, making decisions, applying complex concepts, and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning. A minimum of 5-10 years of experience is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, perform, and coordinate site activities.
  • Execute on-site installation of systems and equipment, along with ongoing preventive maintenance, repair, and calibration.
  • Respond to emergency repair and service requests for equipment.
  • Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair, and maintenance.
  • Perform administrative functions including writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, and preparing job status, customer, time sheet, and expense reports accurately and promptly.
  • Approve all changes made during projects.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through dedicated commitment.
  • Maintain a strong safety mindset, ensuring work adheres to technical requirements and GE safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance checks for a wide range of equipment vintages.
  • Coach, mentor, and train other team members in field engineering and product knowledge.
  • Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for customer records and future outage reference.
  • Ensure all necessary parts for the job are shipped to the site.
  • Conduct walk-downs during installation to verify customer contractor work.
  • Perform aftermarket upgrades as required at the site.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Completed necessary competencies for a Lead TFA role.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as dictated by field assignments.
  • Extensive travel to and from projects and various field assignments is required.

Work Environment

This full-time role involves working at customer power generating facilities, often requiring adaptability to varying schedules and travel demands. The position emphasizes adherence to safety standards and a commitment to customer satisfaction within a dynamic field service environment.
