The Role: Liabilities Specialist

Code Ninja is seeking a Liabilities Specialist to serve as a subject matter expert for a banking client in KSA. This full-time role focuses on supporting CASA/deposit propositions, owning the pricing strategy, portfolio performance, customer acquisition and retention, and end-to-end product lifecycle activities for retail liability products.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for CASA/deposit product propositions, from initial design through to market launch.
• Manage pricing strategy and conduct cost of funds analysis for retail liability products.
• Monitor and report on portfolio performance, tracking key liability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Develop and implement customer acquisition and retention strategies for deposit products.
• Oversee full product lifecycle activities, including enhancements, repricing, and sunset/migration plans.
• Collaborate with product, pricing, and treasury teams to optimize deposit mix.
• Support the development of Sharia-compliant deposit structures where applicable.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong practical experience in consumer deposits and CASA products.
• Solid understanding of pricing strategy and cost of funds.
• Hands-on experience with portfolio analytics and performance tracking.
• Experience working within a retail banking liabilities environment.

Preferred Skills and Exposure

• Experience with Sharia-compliant deposit structures.
• Exposure to the KSA/GCC retail banking market.
• Experience collaborating with treasury or ALM teams on liability pricing.
