The Role of Contract Manager

Systra is seeking an experienced Contract Manager (Arabic Speaker) to join a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team in Medina, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading contract administration and commercial management for complex construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with contract terms, manage risks and claims, and support the timely delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage construction and consultancy contracts on behalf of the PMC and client.
• Interpret and apply FIDIC conditions of contract, including contract amendments and project-specific requirements.
• Advise project leadership on contractual obligations, risks, entitlements, and mitigation measures.
• Manage variations, extensions of time, claims, notices, payments, and change control processes.
• Review contractor and consultant submissions, correspondence, progress reports, and payment applications.
• Support the preparation and negotiation of contractual correspondence and commercial recommendations.
• Monitor compliance with contract procedures, milestones, deliverables, and record-keeping requirements.
• Identify and manage contractual risks, disputes, and potential claims; support dispute avoidance and resolution.
• Coordinate with the client, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams on contract matters.
• Maintain accurate contract registers, records, and reports.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 15 years of experience in contract management, preferably within a PMC environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in administering complex construction and infrastructure contracts.
• Proficiency in interpreting and applying FIDIC conditions of contract.
• Strong understanding of contractual obligations, risk management, and claims processes.
• Fluency in Arabic is required for this role.
