About the Role

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a Mechanical Field Construction Supervisor to join their team in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is critical for managing daily site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, within budget, and in adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. The supervisor will facilitate construction work, from welding procedures to large-scale lifting operations, while upholding ASME/API standards and complying with all HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Comply with and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) rules and regulations, including leading toolbox talks, conducting risk assessments, and managing Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
Manage the daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, and laborers to ensure productivity and adherence to project timelines.
Assist the project team, including construction, project engineers, and project control personnel, in developing detailed project schedules.
Coordinate effectively with engineering and operations departments throughout the project execution phase.
Manage interfaces and communication with other organizations involved in the project.
Inspect work to verify compliance with engineering drawings, design specifications, and established quality standards.
Monitor construction schedules, identify potential delays, and implement appropriate recovery plans to maintain project momentum.
Manage construction materials, optimizing the utilization of resources and equipment to ensure availability for scheduled work.
Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, maintain comprehensive site logs, and document any modifications made to the original design.
Resolve technical, logistic, or personnel issues that may arise on-site in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in mechanical field construction supervision. The role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies and project management principles.

Required Skills

Proficiency in managing daily site construction activities.
Strong knowledge of ASME/API standards and HSE regulations.
Ability to coordinate complex construction tasks, including welding and large-scale lifting.
Experience in developing and monitoring construction schedules.
Skilled in inspecting work for quality and design specification compliance.
Effective communication and problem-solving abilities for technical, logistic, and personnel issues.
Competence in preparing progress reports and maintaining site documentation.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Eastern, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and active management of construction operations. The role involves working closely with contractors, subcontractors, laborers, and various project teams.
