About the Role

Le Meridien is seeking a Mgr-Food & Beverage II-B to oversee all food and beverage operations. This full-time role involves managing culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service functions, with a focus on guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards, and achieving financial goals. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Supervise and manage employees, overseeing all day-to-day operations within the Food and Beverage departments.
• Lead and influence team members, advocating for sound financial and business decision-making.
• Create an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Provide excellent customer service to both guests and employees, responding proactively to concerns.
• Set clear expectations for employees and team leaders, ensuring appropriate recognition for achievements.
• Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring quality and adherence to customer expectations and brand service culture.
• Take ownership of guest complaints until resolved or addressed by the appropriate personnel.

Human Resources and Team Leadership

• Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Conduct performance reviews in a timely manner.
• Promote both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies.
• Identify developmental needs of team members and provide coaching, mentoring, or training to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Develop action plans based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results to address areas for improvement and leverage strengths.

Operational Compliance and Communication

• Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through various communication channels.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve problems.
• Drive effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.
• Demonstrate knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement business plans for food and beverage operations.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
