The Role of Nail Technician

As a Nail Technician, you will provide comprehensive nail care services, including manicures and pedicures, to guests. This full-time position requires adherence to The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards," ensuring gracious and thoughtful service delivery. The role involves assessing guest needs, advising on proper nail care, and promoting spa/salon retail products.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide manicures and pedicures, assessing guest needs and inquiring about contraindications.
• Examine skin and nails to evaluate condition and appropriateness of scheduled services.
• Advise guests on proper nail care and demonstrate, promote, and sell spa/salon retail products.
• Answer questions about general property information and amenities, and escort guests to and from treatment rooms.
• Ensure guest comfort throughout the service and monitor time schedules.
• Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools and equipment, and maintain workstation cleanliness.
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens properly and secure supplies at the end of each shift.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally, develop positive working relationships, and comply with quality assurance standards.
• Perform physical tasks including reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, grasping, turning, manipulating objects, and lifting up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: Current State Nail Technician License is mandatory.
