Pharmacist

About the Role

Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG) is seeking a Pharmacist to join their team. This is a full-time position for individuals with 0-1 years of experience. The primary objective of this role is to compound and dispense medication and prescriptions in accordance with accepted standards and established pharmacy procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional work in the compounding and dispensing of medication in unit dose and * admixture.
• Review and interpret physician’s drug orders for clarity, rationale, dosage form, allergies, interactions, and incompatibility.
• Answer physician’s inquiries regarding drugs.
• Maintain control and security of all drugs, including dispensing, record keeping, and secured storage of narcotics and controlled medication, as well as patient profile maintenance and review.
• Dispense outpatient’s home-going prescriptions.
• Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of TPN and * admixture, including chemotherapeutic agents as appropriate.
• Provide drug information and assist in instructing nursing and medication staff, pharmacy residents, and students.
• Perform inspections of nursing units, discuss service problems with head nurses, and recommend solutions to the pharmacy supervisor.
• Assist with special projects as necessary.
• Follow all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education as per needs.
• Participate in person-centered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
• Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect, and dignity.
• Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of knowledge, skill, and abilities.

Experience and Work Type

Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field. This is a full-time position within Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib (HMG).
