Procurement Supervisor

About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Procurement Supervisor to oversee and manage the organization's procurement processes. This full-time position involves leading the acquisition of goods, services, and materials, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. The role is critical for optimizing the procurement function, developing strategies, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies to meet organizational objectives and ensure efficient processes.
• Oversee the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying needs and sourcing suppliers to evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, forecast needs, and develop corresponding procurement plans.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers, evaluate capabilities, and assess market trends for informed decision-making.
• Lead the supplier selection process, negotiate pricing and contractual terms, and establish long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
• Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
• Analyze procurement data, generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate performance, identify areas for improvement, and make strategic recommendations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Train and mentor procurement staff, provide guidance on processes, and promote professional development within the team.
• Manage and resolve procurement-related issues or disputes, including supplier performance or contract non-compliance.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in alignment with company and IMS policies.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 8 years of experience in procurement or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.

Collaboration and Strategy

The Procurement Supervisor will work closely with various internal stakeholders, including department heads, to align procurement activities with organizational needs. This role involves establishing procurement strategies and fostering effective supplier relationships to ensure a reliable supply chain.
