NES Global Talent is seeking a Senior Engine Testing & Performance Engineer (Electrical) for a full-time position. Our client is a Saudi industrial joint venture specializing in the manufacturing and servicing of large marine and land-based engines across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This company is the first in the region dedicated to these specialized engine applications.

Role Overview

The Senior 2-Stroke Engine Testing & Performance Engineer is responsible for conducting and evaluating test results for large 2- and 4-stroke engines, ensuring compliance with operational and legislative standards. This role involves leading troubleshooting efforts for electrical and instrumentation issues during engine production, acceptance tests, and post-commissioning phases. The engineer will manage and resolve electrical system and instrument-related issues throughout the production process and after engine operation to ensure high reliability and performance in field conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Factory Acceptance Tests for 2- and 4-stroke large engines, evaluate results, and generate required documentation such as NOx technical files and other reports.
• Design electrical and instrumentation systems for large engine manufacturing, establishing technology and drawing standards.
• Collaborate with licensors and technical partners to resolve electrical and instrumentation engineering problems.
• Standardize electrical component integration and instrument calibration processes to enhance engine performance and reliability.
• Coordinate with production planning and procurement to ensure timely availability of electrical components and instrumentation tools for engine production.
• Interact with the Quality Management department to address electrical or instrumentation issues during production and implement corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot engine quality issues related to electrical and instrumentation systems during production with the Operations Business Line or with customers.
• Analyze system performance data for electrical systems and instrumentation, identify trends, and drive improvements for operational efficiency and reduced downtime.
• Provide technical support to production technicians and operators on electrical systems and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Ensure all electrical and instrumentation designs comply with industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Perform additional duties related to electrical systems and instrumentation design and implementation as assigned.
