Specialist Reception and Retail

About the Role

Red Sea Global is seeking a Specialist - Reception and Retail for a full-time, site-based position. This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests at the Center, playing a crucial part in delivering a high-quality visitor experience. The specialist will be responsible for the administration of the center and its retail outlet, requiring strong organizational skills and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Center Manager and assist in the smooth operation of the center asset.
• Assist the Senior Manager in the development of other centers at additional assets.
• Maintain the professional appearance of the center and ensure all sales are conducted professionally.
• Manage inventory for pre-opening, prepare retail stock for future years, and manage the purchasing budget to ensure sufficient stock.
• Work alongside the Center Manager to develop and deliver the center and its necessary components.
• Support RSSE during the delivery stage to achieve targets, initiate operational phasing, and ensure projects are delivered as designed.
• Become familiar with retail products, local activities, and available courses, including required materials, paperwork, and standards.
• Ensure all activities conducted from the Center are professional and assist operational staff in conducting daily activities safely and professionally.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records pertaining to retail activities.
• Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of the retail outlet according to company policy.
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability to achieve financial goals.
• Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
• Monitor ethical business practices, safety, cleanliness, company appearance, uniform standards, and approved environmental practices, escalating significant issues to the Center Manager.
• Ensure retail products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers, and the public.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare orders from suppliers.
• Assist staff/students with course registration and/or rental equipment.
• Take bookings and answer questions about courses/activities destinations, serving as a link between students and the staff team.

Operational Compliance

• Adopt and follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure controlled and consistent center operations.
• Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee and public safety, legislative compliance, high-quality product/service delivery, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of the center’s systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practices, business process enhancement, cost reduction, and productivity improvement.
