About the Steward Role at EDITION

EDITION is seeking a Steward to support essential hotel functions. This full-time role involves working across various departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry, to address cleaning requirements. The Steward ensures the availability of clean linen and dining ware for guests and maintains cleaning equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare clean linen and dining ware to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and linen washers and dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens throughout the hotel as required.
• Adhere to quality expectations and standards in all tasks.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and respond appropriately to concerns.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Related Work Experience: No prior related work experience is necessary.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None.
