About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a full-time Steward to support essential hotel operations. This role is crucial for maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the availability of spotless dining ware and fresh linen for guests. Stewards work across various departments, including the kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry, to meet cleaning requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh, clean linen and spotless dining ware for guests.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, such as dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, linen washers, and dryers.
• Transport dishware and linens across the hotel premises.
• Ensure a safe workplace by following company policies and procedures.
• Uphold quality standards and ensure adherence to expectations.
• Maintain a professional appearance and communication style.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Support the team in achieving common goals.
• Listen and respond appropriately to concerns from other employees.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Perform tasks requiring reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: No high school diploma or *** equivalent is required.
• Experience: No related work experience is necessary.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• Licenses or Certifications: None required.
