Storekeeper

About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton is seeking a Storekeeper to manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise and supplies. This full-time position involves ensuring the proper handling of inventory, maintaining stock levels, and adhering to quality and safety standards within the facility. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise by department, marking items appropriately for placement and delivering them to the correct areas.
• Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of low stock in a timely manner.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock to ensure freshness.
• Inspect deliveries and verify dates to ensure freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality across all items.
• Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures in all food-related areas.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and complete required safety training and certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps.
