Supervisor Engineering

About the Role

Sheraton is seeking a Supervisor-Engineering to join its team. This full-time role involves overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of tools, appliances, and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are met. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment, recommending replacements as needed.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters, and identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies, maintaining inventory and purchase order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, or machines, and utilize computer systems for work-related information.
• Operate power lifts and complete life safety checklists, including fire-pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems, and assist in developing disaster response protocols.
• Respond to and address guest repair requests promptly.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Ensure adherence to company and safety policies, report hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.
• Ensure quality expectations are met and identify opportunities to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Communicate professionally, visually inspect equipment, and perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 50 pounds, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in an engineering or maintenance role.
• Ability to install, maintain, and repair various tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Proficiency in calibrating controls and operating shut-off valves.
• Experience with inventory management and purchasing processes.
• Familiarity with life safety checklists, fire sprinkler systems, and alarm systems.
• Capability to assist in employee management tasks including training and scheduling.
• Strong commitment to safety and security policies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting, bending, and standing.
