About the Role at Hill International

Hill International is seeking a Training Coordinator to join its team. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting the development and delivery of technical training programs across the organization, ensuring employees possess the necessary competencies for their roles.

Role Overview

The Training Coordinator will play a central role in assessing employee competency and identifying specific training needs. This involves designing structured training plans and materials, as well as coordinating both classroom-based and e-learning sessions. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams, industry experts, and external training providers to ensure comprehensive and effective training solutions. Additionally, the role supports employee performance assessments, evaluates the impact of training programs, and recommends improvements based on feedback and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate current employee competency and manage personnel appraisals.
  • Analyze and identify technical training needs within the company, then design integrated training programs.
  • Communicate with employees to discuss technical issues they encounter.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials, including outlines, handouts, and exercises.
  • Coordinate with industry experts for conducting classroom-style training and workshops.
  • Schedule and manage training sessions through e-learning platforms.
  • Ensure all newly hired employees receive relevant and necessary training.
  • Evaluate the job performance of employees post-training to determine program effectiveness.
  • Collect feedback from trainers and trainees, and make recommendations to improve training programs.
  • Collaborate with vendors engaged for specialized training programs.
  • Inform themselves of and ensure continued compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related subject from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall work experience in a relevant discipline.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of professional management processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to conduct training courses using innovative classroom techniques and standard or improvised teaching aids.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive training plan for a team.
  • Proficiency in personnel management and administration.
