Role Overview

The Utilities Engineer (Wet Services) is responsible for ensuring that potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and firefighting water networks are installed according to approved designs, project specifications, authority requirements, and industry standards. This role supports the quality, safety, and timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of potable water networks, irrigation systems, sanitary sewer networks, stormwater drainage systems, and firefighting water infrastructure.
• Verify that all wet utility works are executed in accordance with approved construction methodologies and engineering standards.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and utility authority requirements.
• Witness inspections, testing activities, and commissioning processes associated with utility installations.
• Ensure timely identification and resolution of construction deficiencies and non-compliant works.

Technical Duties

• Review wet utility shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, material submissions, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and landscape teams to resolve interface and constructability issues.
• Evaluate requests for information, technical queries, and proposed design modifications related to utility systems.
• Support the review of value engineering proposals while maintaining operational and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for utility system optimization and issue resolution.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in utilities engineering, specifically with wet services. The role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies and engineering standards related to water, sewerage, drainage, and firefighting networks.
