Zakat and Tax Supervisor

About the Role

Waleed Yousef Alzayyad Certified Public Accountants (HLB WYZ) is seeking a Zakat and Tax - Supervisor to join their team. This full-time role involves leading and overseeing Zakat and Tax compliance and advisory engagements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and firm quality. The successful candidate will manage client relationships and contribute to team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise Zakat and Tax compliance and advisory engagements, including risk assessment and scoping, in coordination with the Manager.
• Supervise and review the work of the engagement team, ensuring computations, returns, and advisory deliverables comply with ZATCA regulations and firm quality standards.
• Resolve technical and logistical issues during engagements, escalating only significant judgmental matters to the Manager.
• Manage client relationships throughout engagements, including kickoff and closing meetings and communication of tax findings.
• Monitor engagement economics, including budget-to-actual hours, and propose scope adjustments as needed.
• Draft tax advisory reports, Zakat/tax position papers, and recommendations for Manager and Director review.
• Lead performance evaluation input for team members and identify training needs within the engagement team.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in Zakat and Tax compliance and advisory roles. A strong understanding of ZATCA regulations and firm quality standards is essential for this role.
