About the Role

FieldCore, a part of GE Vernova, is seeking a Saudi national Site EHS Specialist to join their Environmental Health and Safety team in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring compliance with EHS policies, programs, procedures, and legislative standards across field operations.

Role Responsibilities

The Site EHS Specialist will manage field personnel to ensure adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies, programs, procedures, and legislative standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating and contributing to the development of site-based EHS programs.
  • Conducting onsite EHS audits and inspections, providing recommendations for performance improvement and fostering a NO HARM culture.
  • Ensuring all personnel are informed of safe working procedures and practices to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Managing required compliance activities, including the implementation of in-country legislation and FieldCore EHS requirements and standards.

Key Duties

  • Develop, understand, and maintain the OneEHS project plan, providing support for communication and management of all sections.
  • Support audits, incident investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for Near Misses and incidents to ensure compliance with Company policy, OHSA, EPA, DOT, client/company policy, and applicable regulatory state and federal laws.
  • Ensure Emergency Response capabilities are solidified and maintained.
  • Develop and deliver project-specific site orientation training to all personnel under FieldCore control, ensuring they are informed of site safe working procedures, practices, EHS requirements, focus areas, and job-specific hazards. Maintain records of attendance.
  • Review customer permit systems, including requirements for site posting of permits, LOTO, Hot Work, Confined Space procedures, and FieldCore Lift Plans.
  • Provide classroom-based EHS training as required.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant EHS role. The position requires a Saudi national.

Work Environment and Travel

This role involves extensive travel to and from projects and various assignments. The specialist must be willing to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required by assignments, and be prepared for considerable time away from home for training and project deployments.
