Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Mortuary Technician to join its team in Al-Ahsa. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the highest standards of care and operational integrity within the hospital's mortuary facility.

Role Summary

The Mortuary Technician is a technical position responsible for the dignified, safe, and hygienic operation of the hospital mortuary. This role ensures strict adherence to Ministry of Health (MOH) infection control protocols, maintains the physical chain of custody for deceased patients, and manages environmental safety standards within the cold storage facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive bodies from clinical wards, verifying "Dual Identifier" tags and documenting the chain of custody in the Morgue Register.
• Monitor and record temperature and humidity levels of cold chambers according to established policies and procedures, reporting any deviations immediately.
• Coordinate terminal cleaning and disinfection of storage units, hydraulic lifts, and surfaces using hospital-grade agents.
• Apply specific MOH precautions, including shrouding and bagging, for High-Risk Infectious bodies (*, COVID-19, MERS).
• Assist forensic authorities with body identification and sample preservation in cases requiring police involvement.
• Physically release bodies to families or municipality services, ensuring proper documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Associate Degree.
• Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) Registration.
• 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based at the Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare facility in Al-Ahsa. The role operates within a critical hospital environment, requiring adherence to stringent safety and hygiene standards.
